This is a trailer I did quite a few years back for the movie War of the Worlds The True Story. I still really like the cutting. Camera technology among other things has advanced since then, but still I enjoy the pacing and how the sounds play out. So I felt it deserved to be featured in our updated blog.
Lots of fun with green screen, and miniatures, and just about everything else you could imagine to make this look good on screen. I actually did not edit the full length feature, but contributed to many other parts of the film.
The film earned a spot in the Oscar® nomination pool that year with about 100 other films.
